nce, when Mongolians attacked China, the Chinese started to build the Great Wall. One day, babies
were born in the palace of China and Mongolia. The children grew while the work of the Great Wall
of China was going on. They both grew to be beautiful, the Mongolian princess Lilly and the Chinese
prince Chang.
One cold winter Prince Chang led the Chinese soldiers and met princess Lilly. They fell in love,
an impossible love. That night, Lilly and Chang met together and spent the night crying.
O
One morning, when the Chinese people were building the Great Wall, Mongolians attacked. Prince Chang,
missing princess Lilly, was thinking of running away with Lilly, but couldn’t leave his old, sick father the king.
That night, when it was time for the moon festival, Chang went to the Mongol palace on his horse. He was
captured by Mongol soldiers and was almost dead until Lilly saved him. The Mongol king and the Chinese king
were both angry. They ordered their children to cut their hair and leave the country. When Chang and Lilly were
going, they met together and said,” Let’s meet 300 years from now.” They killed themselves.
Years passed, nobody knew about Lilly and Chang. The two graves started to move but still nobody knew.
The Great Wall was finished. That night, the graves broke in half. Then out came Chang and Lilly, more
beautiful than ever.
Now China, more powerful with a brand new king, started to attack Mongolia paying them back.
Mongolians got weaker and weaker. One day, the Mongol king decided that they needed help. So he ordered if
anybody rescued Mongol from China, that he would be the next king and get his daughter, LingLing. When
Chang was gone to the palace of Mongol, Lilly was captured by Chinese soldiers.
Chang, who went to China, went to buy some tea for his voyage. Then he heard that the king of China had a
new concubine called Lilly. Chang had no time to drink his tea. He had to go and find Lilly in the palace of
China.
When Chang was in front of the palace door the soldiers caught Chang and tried to kill him because they
thought he was an enemy. And actually, he was! Just then, Lilly came out very surprised. Lilly said, “hi...”
But Chang, who was sad, said, “Bye Lilly. I will miss you forever, I’m so sorry.”
Then he burst out in tears, running away. Chang ran, no one could find him, ever. Lilly was sad, but tried
not to cry.
One evening, Lilly thought that she knew where Chang went. She tricked the king. She told him that she
was going for her little evening walk and went out. She ran to the Great Wall and searched. Then, found Chang
dead again. With sparkling tears, Lilly found Chang’s dagger and killed herself right above Chang.
